Two such styles of cloth we’ve sourced for this season - Montrose and Morval - got us very excited when we first got our hands on them. They're what we call a waffle-weave fabric, also known as a honeycomb fabric for obvious reasons, and are made from 100% organic cotton. It consists of raised threads that form small rectangles, which produces a really tactile three-dimensional effect. To be technical, it’s the combination of warp and weft floats that creates the structure. Besides its unique texture, waffle fabric is a brilliant summer cloth since the raised ridges allow air to flow through the fabric, keeping you cool but also drying the cloth quickly.

When we introduced our waffle knit fabrics a few seasons ago, they proved so popular that we had to bring them back in new colourways. We've opted for simple understated tones so as to let the texture of the cloth do all the talking.
The Lulworth fabric has been a revelation since we discovered a few seasons ago. It combines the softness of terry cloth with the unique wales of classic corduroy, resulting in a supple and textural cloth that really adds a tactile element to summer casualwear. We've used it across tees, shorts, and these polos, which are perfect resortwear kit that you can wear with preppy looks as well as more sporty fits.

Another great textural cloth is our Braemar fabric, which is a knitted cotton and modal blend, making for an extremely soft and supple handle. We've used it to create two long-sleeve t-shirts, contemporary versions of the traditional Breton, as well as a cracking short-sleeved Riviera shirt that is really versatile. You can wear it in a relaxed, laid-back way with shorts and sneakers, or style it with chinos or a linen suit to dress down tailoring.
