The new summer collection has arrived at Oliver Spencer, featuring an eclectic range of warm-weather fabrics and modern silhouettes all finished with the inimitable Oliver Spencer twist. We could tell you that the collection was inspired by some esoteric cultural reference, but really it was much simpler than that. Oli began the design process by asking a basic question: what are the fundamentals that make up a timeless summer wardrobe? The answer, in its purest form, is colour and texture, and so Oli set about creating a collection that spoke of a vibrant yet balanced colour palette, combined with tactile fabrics that would elevate the nuances of the various tones.

All the familiar seasonal shapes are present – shirts, t-shirts, polos, lightweight unstructured tailoring – together with a new and complementary selection of loungewear that has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the casualwear elements of the collection. Sports-inspired silhouettes can be easily paired with tailoring for example, creating an infinitely versatile and contemporary look.
The colour palette focuses on the rich yet muted tones of tobacco, mint green, cream, oatmeal and sky blue, punctuated by darker accents of blue and navy, all of which can be mixed and matched antd easily assimilated with your wardrobe. As ever, Oliver Spencer continues to use more organic cotton and ecological linen in its collections and this one is no different, featuring a variety of lightweight, textural cloths. One highlight is our Rusper cotton that features a delicately stitched bohemian-style pattern and has been cut in a number of different silhouettes including short-sleeved shirts and polos. Overall the collection taps into the zeitgeist for a more relaxed aesthetic, one in which tailoring and casualwear become one and the same.
Our loungewear pieces continue to be woven in organic cotton and Supima cotton for a super soft and comfortable finish. This season, new tones such as mint green have been introduced to the jersey offering, while a whole new array of striped pyjama sets and dressing gowns round off a fun and sophisticated collection.
