Gentlemen, it’s time to bare legs. The summer is here, and those pins of yours, which have been swaddled in trousers for the best part of eight months, need their moment in the sun. We’ve created four quite different short styles this season to ensure your fair-weather wardrobe is at the top of its game.
Drawstring Shorts
Drawstring shorts are a non-negotiable summer garment, being super easy to style and really comfortable to boot. That elasticated waistline and drawcord make them incredibly comfortable (especially if you're now discovering that last years button-up shorts seem to be a little tighter than you remembered!), and the track-inspired cut make them a great option to wear with off-duty casualwear. We've created both external drawstring styles and internal (hidden) drawstring shorts, and have used a number of fabrics, not least super soft cotton jersey and ecological linen. Our drawstring shorts finish just above the knee for easy-to-wear versatility.

Pleated Shorts
Our smartest summer style, we've created three pleated short styles for this season, each constructed from ecological linen fabrics. They feature single pleats and belt loops for a sartorial aesthetic and are cut with a relaxed silhouette that finishes are the knee. In chambray blue, black pinstripe, and coral pink options, they are each a great addition to casual linen shirting for a riviera-inspired look this season.

Judo Shorts
Our relaxed fit Judo shorts are the Oliver Spencer take on the traditional cargo short, only more elevated thanks to the fabric choices and the single patch pocket on the left thigh. Born out of utility, they finish just above the knee and feature a corozo button fastening, and belt loops, making them a great option to style with casual cotton or linen shirts, polos, or tees. Cut from a midweight cotton this season, they have a modern preppy aesthetic that is complemented by a pair of loafers or vintage sneakers.

Jersey Shorts
Our most casual short style for the summer are our jersey shorts, constructed from a variety of cotton and organic cotton, rendered into some incredibly soft and textural yarns, not least the Lulworth terry cloth corduroy. With an athletic silhouette, these shorts are brilliant all-rounders and are fantastic as resortwear garments for your summer holidays. The Hayward fabric is a perfect case in point, injecting an element of subtle pattern and texture into your summer styling options. Our House jersey shorts have a vintage athletic appeal, constructed from a super soft fine terry cloth fabric that is perfect to style with a tee around the house or at the gym.
